Game Day Preview: The Kelowna Rockets face the Kamloops Blazers for the 10th and final time this season. The Rockets are 4-3-1-1 in the opening 9 games following a 2-1 shootout loss last night in Kamloops. Nolan Foote scored the lone goal, his 34th of the season on the power play, in the one-goal loss. Five of the 9 games in the seasonal series have been decided by a single goal with both teams earning wins in overtime. The Rockets need a combination of three wins or Kamloops losses in order to clinch third place in the BC Division and a berth in the 2019 postseason for the 23rd time in the teams’ 24 year history in the Okanagan. Following this game, the Rockets close out the final week of the regular season with a home game against Spokane (Wednesday) and a home-and-home series with the Vancouver Giants to wrap up the 68 games regular season schedule. Overall, the Rockets are 11-13-3-2 in 29 games since the Christmas break. The Rockets are 23-20-5-2 in 49 games under head coach Adam Foote.
