Royer Announces Contest Winning Fan

Calgary, AB – Throughout the 2015-16 season, Royer has been in search of the Western Hockey League’s Hardest Working Player and Fan. While the votes are in, fans will have to wait a little longer to find out which player holds the title, as this honour will be bestowed at the WHL Awards in Calgary, AB on Wednesday, May 4th.

Royer, in association with the Western Hockey League, are pleased to crown Justin McKinnon from Taber, Alberta as the Royer Hardest Working Fan for the 2015-16 season! Justin was selected as the Royer Hardest Working Fan after submitting his ballot at a WHL game. He will be attending the MasterCard Memorial Cup in Red Deer along with Arlene Loewen who voted for her favourite Royer Hardest Working Player.

On March 16th, the finalist from each team was announced for the 2016 WHL Hardest Working Player of the Year Award. These players were voted through by local fans for demonstrating great work ethic, passion, relentlessness and dedication, game after game. From March 16th to March 31st, fans were then encouraged to vote for the Western Hockey League’s Hardest Working Player, a title that will be held by only one individual!

All fans who voted for their favourite Hardest Working Player were entered for a chance to win a trip to the final weekend of the 2016 MasterCard Memorial Cup in Red Deer. Arlene was randomly selected from her votes for Jermaine Loewen of the Kamloops Blazers.
