Game Day Preview: Welcome to the last week of the regular season! The Kelowna Rockets play their second to last home game of the regular season tonight against the visiting Spokane Chiefs. The Rockets are 1-2-0-0 in the opening three games of the four game set, with a 4-3 shootout victory on February 22nd.  The team also lost by scores of 4-0 (February 1st) and 5-4 (February 6th). Leif Mattson has 1+5=6 against the Chiefs while Alex Swetlikoff has 3+1=4. Nolan Foote has two goals in the three games. James Porter has appeared in all three games posting a goals against average of 2.84. Roman Basran has played in two of the games, posting a goals against average of 6.42. The Rockets power play is running at 30.8% with 4 goals in 13 chances. The Rockets are coming off back-to-back losses to the Kamloops Blazers Friday (2-1 SOL) and Saturday (2-1 regulation loss). Nolan Foote and Kyle Topping scored goals in those two losses. Following this game, the Rockets close out the final week of the regular season with a home-and-home series with the Vancouver Giants to wrap up the 68 games regular season schedule. Overall, the Rockets are 11-14-3-2 in 30 games since the Christmas break. The Rockets are 23-21-5-2 in 50 games under head coach Adam Foote.
