Tonight’s Preview: The Kelowna Rockets continue their four-game road trip tonight with a matchup against the Victoria Royals. This is the 8th of 9 meetings between these two teams this season. After playing tonight in the rematch, the seasonal series wraps up March 11th in Kelowna. The Rockets are 3-3-0-1 in the opening 7 games. Five of the six have been decided by a single goal. Last night the Rockets picked up their 25th win of the season, defeating the Royals 3-2. Mally the Man! Kris Mallette was named the interim head coach of the Kelowna Rockets on Wednesday. Mallette replaces Adam Foote, who was relieved of his duties. Mallette joined the organization as an assistant coach for the start of the 2014 season under then-head coach Dan Lambert. Mallette is a former player, suiting up for the Rockets from 1996 until 1998 before eventually being traded to the Moose Jaw Warriors. The 41-year-old is the first Rockets alumni to assume the head coaching duties.
